Reasons or Results? Which do you desire?  Most of us have been conditioned to get a 'set of reasons' for our action or inaction.  Leaders always go for results.  Personal effort is key in all results.  Resistance is always present and grows in proportion to the significance of the goal or desired results. Preparation through learning is essential in creating the results the leader desires.  Belief and desire are key to gaining results.  Roman philosopher Seneca admonished, "the greater part of progress is the desire for progress."  It is this desire and belief that compels a leader to reach the seemingly unattainable.  The effective leader knows well the emotion of the country song, "How bad do you want it?"

Leadership is about influencing, and influencing begins with learning...both of the leader and those they lead.  The leaders are only as good as what they learn and use.  Learning comes from many sources.
  • Learning about people is primary.  It is with people that leadership exists.  Understanding people allows the leader to match talent to task.  Additionally, the leader knows the followers or tribe member specifically - the transformational leader cares!  Few care about what the leader knows until they know the leader cares.
Transformation Leader uses the Keirsey Typology as a tool to teach leaders and team members an objective, effective and 'safe' method for this learning about each other.
